The Studio: Amanda Croft Lecture Series

The artist’s studio can be a private or shared space; an environment for academic instruction or personal experimentation; an archived cultural experience offering an insight into artistic practices.

This series of five illustrated lectures will look at the evolution of the studio from the medieval workshop to the artist’s personal workplace. These lectures will also examine collaborative ventures such as the Bauhaus, Andy Warhol’s Factory, Damien Hirst’s Science Studios and contemporary Artists’ Collectives.

• The lectures will run for five consecutive Tuesdays from 2nd May 2023 until 30th May 2023.
• They will take place in Ulster Museum Lecture Theatre. 
• Tickets are £25 or £20 for concessions.
