Judith Cross
Biography
Judith became involved in the Northern Ireland Women's Coalition in 1997 during the peace talks. She campaigned and canvassed for the referendum and subsequently for the seats in the first Northern Ireland Assembly. She became the consistency aide for Prof Monica McWilliams for South Belfast. She has continued to campaign and work to increase the number of women in politics. Judith campaigned for Eliz Byrne McCullough, Dawn Purvis and Clare Bailey. Judith was also heavily involved in Alliance for Choice and was part of the hugely successful campaign for abortion rights in Northern Ireland for women and girls using equality and human rights frameworks.
