Anne McVicker
Biography
I am a feminist, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, worker and activist and I'm committed to fair play and equality for all, particularly for women in NI. I was born and reared in North Belfast within a family of nine siblings and apart from 5 years studying Law & Politics in Manchester & London I still remain a loyal and proud North Belfast resident.
I am currently Women's Resource & Development Agency (WRDA) Director and have an extensive wealth of experience acquired over the past thirty-eight years delivering community development, skills building, strategic planning, equality & human rights training and peacebuilding activities within the Women's Sector.
I have held a wide variety of roles, from working as a Welfare Rights and Housing Worker to working across communities playing a significant role in both the establishment & development of Shankill Women's Centre and WOMEN'STEC.
